“ No one sees Luk Yuen and says "hey let's eat there!" Because it is an obscure restaurant and it doesnt have a lot of fancy, eye catching interiors. In fact, its one of the only Chinese restaurants that isnt heavy on the color red. I only know the branches in Greenhills and Megamall and this is because of my mom who has been eating in this restaurant at least once a year. And the reason she eats here all the time is because it is so good. Even i have been converted to a Luk Yuen believer. The best part about Luk Yuen is the price. The amount you pay for is not what you'll expect because the portions arent "bitin." When it comes to the taste, you can be sure that it will satisfy uour dimsum, congee, yang chow, and sweet sour pork craving. Most items on the menu are a hit instead of a miss. The staff is friendly and you can be sure that your needs will be atrended to. I ate here a few weeks ago fur lunch with my officemates and when i saw Chinese expats eating here. If its good enough for them then its good enough for me! ”

“ I have always been obsessed with authentic Chinese food. I remember when I was still in grade school, my mom would always bring me and my brother to Luk Yuen to try out their Taro Puffs. When I was still young, I initially thought that Taro Puffs were made out of pure meat because it tasted so good. My mom even told me that this restaurant is the only place that can make me eat healthy food. Until now, I still eat in Luk Yuen. It's one of my favorite Chinese restaurants out there. My favorite dish would be their Beef Brisket and Wanton. I love the tenderness of their beef. It's also really heavy, so eating a bowl of this could make you last for one whole day. It's also cheaper than most Chinese restaurants. A single meal will only cost you at least 130 pesos. But I guarantee you, Luk Yuen doesn't sacrifice quality for price. They also have a very friendly personnel. The moment you step inside this restaurant, they will immediately serve you with a smile. ”

“ I'm not really into Chinese food, but my parents are so we used to go to the Luk Yuen in Greenhills a lot when I was little. I had to find my go-to dishes that whole time so I could always have something I liked (lol), and it was usually the wanton noodle soup, spring rolls, and sesame balls for dessert. After having tried other Chinese places through the years, I realized Luk Yuen was actually the best of them. Of course we're talking mid-range, no frills (but not a dump!), straightforward casual dining Chinese spots here. Theirs is the only wanton noodle soup I like and the only spring rolls I like (no strong-tasting chinese ham!). Theirs, for me, is also the best-filled, not super dripping with oil, non air-y sesame balls or "buchi." A lot of other Chinese spots have really flat soups in their noodles, and the wanton fillings barely taste like meat sometimes... Even congees are too diluted and plain. And the oily thing is really a problem for all with spring rolls and buchi. But in Luk Yuen, it isn't! They've managed to maintain good quality in their dishes until today. If I were to crave Chinese within the vicinity of any Luk Yuen, there would be no other choice but it. ”

“ A friend introduced me to Luk Yuen when we were still in college. At first I did not understand why he seems to be really excited about eating there. Fast forward years later and it's now my turn to feel excited with the prospect of eating at Luk Yuen. I'm not a fan of congee. For me, it's just the sophisticated cousin of lugaw. Add a few touches to make your lugaw look and taste better and you still have lugaw only around 20 times more expensive. But I make an exemption for Luk Yuen's congee. Especially their Halo Congee. Being the laking probinsiya that I am, I thought they forgot to cook the egg in my congee. Another standout is their Beef Brisket Rice Toppings. And for those first timers who wants something more filling then go for their Bentos. You can also expect great service. Even if this restaurant is almost always filled with people, the crew moves efficiently and they still manage to provide service with a smile. ”
